A few KEY DATES to Note for your Planners and Diaries :)
MONDAY 29th JUNE - VISIT BY BISHOP MAGNUS (see below)
SATURDAY 18th JULY - CHURCH MEETING
Bishop Magnus Bendu and his wife, Rugie will be joining the congregation at HGM for High Tea, on the 29th June.
Bishop Magnus leads the Countess of Huntingdon’s Connexion (CHC) in Sierra Leone, where he oversees a growing network of churches, community projects, and outreach ministries. Born in Moyain Village, he trained in construction before following a call to ministry. With support from the Sierra Leone Mission, he studied theology at the Evangelical College of Theology, graduating as best student in 2004.
Over the years, Bishop Magnus has served as a pastor, church planter, educator, and community advocate. His work has included supporting vulnerable children through the Bethesda Children’s Centre, promoting integrity and justice through the AntiCorruption Commission, and encouraging young people through regular radio teaching and motivational programmes.
He was consecrated Bishop on 7 April at St Mark’s Cathedral, Waterloo, and continues to guide the Connexion with energy, compassion, and a deep commitment to the gospel.
Bishop Magnus maintains close links with supporting churches in the UK, and his leadership plays a vital role in strengthening Christian witness and community life across Sierra Leone.
